The elements and principles of design are around us at all times. For this assignment we went out and took pictures of the elements and principles in our everyday lives.
Color
This photo is of the pool balls at my church. Each one is vibrant in color and each color varies. You can see each ball clearly due to the vibrance of each individual color.
Movement
This photo was taken at my house of pages flipping through a book. Movement can be seen by the blurred paper and words near the top of the pages.
Texture
This photo of a tree trunk was taken on the NSU campus. Tree trunks have so much texture, it looks like you can feel it just by looking at this image!
Space
Space is an area that has width, height, and depth that can be filled in. This picture of the parking lot outside of my apartment building shows space because although the cars are all about the same size, the further back you look, the smaller the cars seem.
Shapes
This picture of a vinyl case and the vinyl records from inside is perfect for showing both organic and geometric shapes. If your are looking at the individual shape of the record, it is a circle (geometric shape). If you look at the negative space in the photo, it is an organic shape.
